reviews:
Lady Sabrina has done it again! Her usual charm & style shine brightly in her latest offering to the Wiccan community. The Witches Master Grimoire is set up in alphabetical order, and has many uses! Think of it as a referance book. Do you have a question on, say, what is a mirror box? Simply go to the letter 'M' in the book. There you will not only find out what a mirror box is, but why they are used and how to make one! Whether you are a seasoned Witch or new to the craft, this book will be a welcome, and very useful addition to your Magickal library. Brightest Blessings to Lady Sabrina for the service she has done for the Wiccan community.
This is an okay book. However, I found it lacking, for example there was nothing on Protection, something almost every basic Witch-y book has. Everything in here is categorized by alpha and only the most basic things seem to have made the cut: under P is Pentacle, Planets, Poppet and Potions, and that's it, other sections were just as scanty I thought. I personally didn't agree with her correspondence charts, so didn't find much of use in here once I had read it, just sort of ho-hum, and it's been on the shelf ever since. A few of the spells and things caught my eye, but nothing else made it worth keeping. It would probably be good for someone in the beginner stages who doesn't have much of this reference material already, since it's not overwhelming or deep, seems to be nicely written, and is eye pleasing with illustrations.
A couple books in this genre that come to mind that were more comprehensive and better met my needs were the Wicca Handbook by Eileen Holland and Sally Dubat's Natural Magic. I'd say borrow this one and/or make sure you look at it first in person before buying to make sure it's what you want/need and isn't redundant to what you already have as in my case.
