DESCRIPTION
Imagine being able to perform Al Koran's mind-blowing 5-Star Miracle Prediction without the gaffed deck or trick wallet or envelope. Well with Trickshop.com's handling and presentation for Bill Simon's Vital Prediction, you can do just that!
Here's what the spectators see...
The performer introduces a deck of cards and a single card with a different color back (or a small envelope containing the card). The lone card with the contrasting back is placed face down on the table, slipped under a cocktail glass, etc. The spectators are informed that this card (or envelope) represents the performer's prediction. Right or wrong, he is committed.
The performer then picks up and shuffles the deck of cards and fans or spreads them; so the audience can clearly see that all of the cards are different. He explains that he has just a 1 in 52 chance of success. Not very good odds, but he will take them. After all, "the impossible" is his stock in trade.
The performer places the deck face down on the table between himself and a spectator. To test the "accuracy of his prediction," he asks the spectator to deal the cards, one at a time, face up onto the table. The person is free to stop at anytime. After the spectator stops dealing, the performer says, "You stopped here. Are you certain this is where you wanted to stop? If not, you may continue dealing. It's up to you." The spectator is given the opportunity to change his mind as often as he likes, until he decides to stop. When he's satisfied, the performer reaches out and places the next card on the deck - the spectator's choice - to the side and face down on the table.
Reaching out the performer loosely spreads the face-up cards just dealt. "You could have stopped on any of these cards...or these," he says, as he picks up the remainder of the deck and spreads the cards to show their faces. The cards are squared up and the spectator's face-down card is placed on top of the face-up cards and the card it is next to, is noted. Then, the remainder of the face-up cards on the table are placed on top, so the selected face-down card is in the middle of the otherwise face-up pack. The cards are placed on the table and the performer briefly recaps what has just transpired. The spectator is now asked to turn over the performer's prediction card with the different color back (or open the envelope and remove the card). We'll assume it's the Six of Clubs. The performer picks up the tabled deck - spreading the cards face up for all to see. The spectator's face-down card is in the middle of the spread, next to the card that was noted earlier. The spectator is asked to remove the card and turn it over - it is the Six of Clubs! 5 pages.
Now consider this...
- The Vital Prediction works with a regular deck.
- Only one prediction is used and it remains in full view throughout the effect. Once you display it, you never touch it again.
- The effect is virtually self-working with no difficult sleights. In fact, you'll probably pick up the handling within minutes of reading our photo-illustrated instructions.
- If you enjoy performing mental card miracles, don't miss this one!
