The Best I CAAN by Joel Harbers
From a shuffled deck, a freely chosen card is found at a freely chosen number. So good you'll fool yourself.
"This is an ACAAN that will fry and entertain both laymen and magicians alike thanks to its hands-off nature. A great addition to your arsenal of impromptu magic." - David Jonathan
"The best I Ca(a)n first up fooled me very badly. The effect is so strong with nearly all of the action in their hands. The tutorial where Joël and Ron deconstruct the devious secret is extremely well detailed and explained so that you will not have any trouble at all learning this beautiful mystery!!!" - John Carey
"This clever card-at-a-number is the sort of simple yet subtle fooler that, once learned, will often be put to devilish use." - David Regal
"This is probably one of the best impromptu ACAAN tricks I have seen. Wow!" - Peter Eggink
The Best I Ca(a)n by Joël Harbers is a great impromptu version of the classic Any Card At Any Number plot!
Effect:
BORROW a deck of cards and make sure it is well mixed. Two spectators will help you with this great miracle.
Have spectator one cut of about half the deck. Spectator two cuts the remainder of the deck in half and he silently counts the number of cards he picked (he can turn around if he likes).
In the meantime, spectator one selects ANY card from his pile and he remembers that card.
All the cards are gathered back together and the magicians give both spectators about half the deck.
They both start dealing the cards face down until one of them decides to STOP dealing. Now they SWITCH their packets and continue dealing. At one point they stop again and shuffle their cards en puts all the cards on their packets! Now both piles are laid on top of each other. In all this dealing, shuffling, and switching the magician NEVER touches the cards.
Now, spectator two picks up the deck and reveals his thought-off number for the very first time. He then deals to his selected number. When theis card is turned over IT IS the selected card from spectator one!
Incredible.
In fact this is so good, you can instantly repeat it and they have NO clue how it is done!
The Best I Ca(a)n is a GREAT miracle that can be done totally impromptu.
NO gimmicks
NO setup
Very easy to learn and to perform.
This will fool your magic friends too!
