A terrific close-up mental mystery you can perform with your own business cards! Here's the effect...A packet of 18 cards are shown and on the back of each you've written the name of an object likely to be found on a person or carried in their pocket. Each card is different...there are positively no duplicates! The cards are now dealt face down into three rows of six each. The spectator is asked to lay a pen or pencil on one of the cards in the first row. When he has done this, the rest of the cards in that row are turned over to show that they are all different and that he could have chosen any one of them. Next, he places a cigarette on a card in the second row. Again, the other cards are shown different. Finally, he places a coin on any card in the third row. Now imagine if you can the effect on the spectator. There are now three cards face down on the table, each of which has an object lying on it. AS EACH CARD IS TURNED OVER IT IS SEEN TO BEAR THE NAME OF THE OBJECT THAT THE SPECTATOR PLACED ON IT. No gimmicks, no switches, no sleights, no double-sided or duplicate cards. Easy to do!
