Steve Sanders - Have not a Clue
PDF
This ebook contains five full length effects, achieved with minimum sleights, all based on the plot, intrigue and characters from the popular board game Cluedo, or Clue, as it is known in the States. Each effect involves and engages the audience fully and are easy to do. All you need to do is provide the dramatic art bit!
Murdered (Again!)
As Dr. Black moves around each room in his mansion his killer anticipates every move. Moved by a spectator, with free choice of room or direction, around a plan of his home. Dr. Black is eventually cornered in a room previously predicted.
Choose your Weapon
Acting as the detective, a spectator chooses one weapon from a list; the entertainer then reveals the contents of a box contains that very weapon.
WhoDunnit?
From beyond the grave Dr. Black identifies his killer. A piece of paper on which the murder's name was secretly written, is found separated from the other suspects' names.
Haven't a Clue
One of the room cards is chosen by a spectator, a random number chooses a weapon card. Finally the murderer is decided by a throw of a die. A sealed envelope, held throughout by the audience, is then opened and found to contain a mysterious verse from Nostradamus which successfully predicted the place, weapon and identity of the murderer.
The Murderer Returns
After deciding who is the suspect, the room and the weapon, the theory is put forward that the murderer always returns to the scene of the crime. The mixed suspect, room and weapon cards are given to a spectator who freely cuts the pack into three heaps. After mixing the cards further, the top card of each pile is turned over and is shown to be the very suspect, room and weapon as previously discussed.
