Outlaw Effects - Lunaria
PDF
Scott Grossberg and Outlaw Effects present Lunaria
In the twenties and thirties, there was a fairly well-known psychic by the name of Lunaria Rose – “Luna” as she called herself. She traveled around the country hopping from carnival to tent show to vaudevillian stage.
Using her mysterious Visiting Card, Luna would read people’s minds and talk with those who had passed over. Patrons of the day described her abilities as "marvelous", and her visiting cards as very "curious". And, after seeing one of Luna’s shows, all doubts were removed as to how Luna had sky-rocketed from an obscure farm girl to what some said was “the most famous mind and character-reader living.”
Of course, there are some who say that Luna was catapulted to fame and fortune through her association with a secret society from New York who took a special interest in her and her. You will have to be the judge of that. There is no doubt that the society’s emblem and address appear on Luna’s card.
Luna's final public appearance – actually her final appearance anywhere – was in 1935 at a sold-out performance at the Apollo Theater. Those who attended the show remarked later that Luna seemed distant, almost resigned – as if she was tired of all the publicity, tired of all the questions, tired of being a channel for the other side.
Following her disappearance, a box of Luna’s Cards – the final printing it turns out – were found in an antique store. We were fortunate to have acquired some of them and have carefully protected them and the energy still contained within the Cards.
For the first time in over 75 years, Luna Rose's Visiting Cards are available for those select few who do not fear the unusual, the extraordinary, the unexplainable! The "Lunaria" is, first and foremost, a utility item for mentalists. It is the size of a business card and double-sided and is another proud addition to Outlaw’s offerings of Pocket Mentalism.
??With a unique blend of images, letters, and numbers from both sides of the Card, you will be able to make predictions, tap into your spectators’ imaginations, read their minds, and . . . yes . . . use the Card as a real, honest-to-goodness talking board should you dare to venture there.
Lunaria is also designed to work with Outlaw wallets. As only one example, you can have a spectator circle an image or write on the Card using a dry-erase marker, slip the Card into your Outlaw wallet, and instantly know what was selected or written.
Lunaria comes with a booklet that provides more of Luna’s story, a full explanation of the various “secrets” built into the Card’s design, and suggestions for various routines.
Luna Rose's life was filled with secrets. Now they can be yours.
