About the lecture:
•
"Michael Korda said, “One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals.” It is easy as a performer to become so comfortable with our material that the challenge is somewhat removed and so with it is our passion. When you take something you do for fun and turn it into something that is helping you to survive, it can lose some of its enjoyment. For the past 4 years, I have been keeping regular residencies at restaurants and bars, often more than one at the time. It has absolutely tested my resolve and taught me a lot about what I want but most importantly what I need to keep my passion for the art alive.
•
For the past 14 years I have released many DVD’s, books, downloads and lectures to the community and those who follow my work have seen the progression of my thinking and practices when it comes to workable and sometimes “out there” material that I have become known for.
•
“Momentum” is a lecture that showcases some of the things I have developed in my professional working repertoire designed to fit my character and fulfils the expectations regular customers have of my style of material. It also for the first time discusses some pieces I have developed for a professional stage show which can be played from a small intimate audience, too full sized theatres. The development of my own booktest, the way I have structured the performance and of course, my own handlings of the incredible PK Touches plot. All the things that I have developed to keep momentum and have allowed me to keep growing as a performer.
•
I am incredibly proud of this lecture and I cannot wait to share some of my thoughts, theories and methods with you all."
