Magical Thoughts From A Dinosaur by Jay Ungar

This 207pg eBook is a unique and essential magician's resource that features 91 essays from Jay Ungar. His bite size musings will IMPROVE your magic. It's theory, it's directed thought about your passion, it's informative, it's challenging - it contains lots of ways to fire your creative neurons and take what (and how) you perform to a new level.

“Beware! This is a “monster of a book”. It’s a “Theo-Saurus”! This is a compilation of “pun-filled power” and “conjuring curiosities”! In the future “magical archeologists” may find this “tomb”, and be left shaking their heads!” Jeff McBride

“Ragnu is one of my oldest and dearest magic friends. I love this book! There is a lifetime of experience here. It’s a great and thoroughly enjoyable read… You’re in for a treat!” Doc Eason

“If you really want to think about and analyze your performance, this is where you start! Jay has a way of getting you to seriously consider what you are doing with your magic!” Bruce Kalver (PNP of SAM 2008-2009)

“The Doctor is “In” … Yes! In tune with the “ins and outs” of performing magic for real people! He covers how to develop and structure “your magic” that ENTERTAINS your audience. Lessons to be learned from a true master!” Dick Bowman (PNP of SAM 2017-2018)

Here's what Jay himself has to say about this collection:

"What you’re holding is a “compilation” of thoughts I’ve had about our passion for over 50 years. Essentially, you’ll be reading some thought-provoking stuff (well, at least, I think so). Much of this book relates to ideas I’ve come up with over a lifetime of Magic.

I love “Magic”; and feel “Passionate” about it. In some ways, I feel like “Don Quixot-e-stein” battling away at imaginary “magical windmills”. Essentially, I keep working at “Nudging the Needle” (which happens to be the name of my column in the MUM, and SAM blog), hopefully, to help others get better at our art. If I do, I think, I’ll sleep better (although, I am a pretty lousy sleeper,).

This shouldn’t be hard to digest. Although, please understand there’s a lot to consume . It’s not meant to be engulfed all at once. Chomp, bite, or nibble it at your own pace; there are a lot of things to taste; plenty to enjoy; and, some to savor."
