Every magicians is probably aware of the famous quote from Robert-Houdin, " a magician is an actor playing the part of a magician." It is a wonderful concept that needs to be explored by every magician and then incorporated into their performance. Magic & Theater. Getting it Together. is a chance to learn how to add theater into a magic show and increase the impact that it possible when a magician really does use some of the tools of an actor. Creating exciting impactful new routines, scripting your dialogue, using staging, lighting and music, understanding the role of a director are just some of the topics that are covered in this Masterclass. This Zoom seminar was a huge success when it was presented "live" and now you can learn and earn from the information that was shared by our panel of experts.
2 ¾ Hours With This Panel Of Experts Will Change Your Understanding Of Using Theatrical Methods To Improve Your Magic.
Chances are that you already own way too many tricks. Almost every magician is waiting for that "one effect" that will put their act into overdrive.  Sometimes it is important to take a step backwards and take an overview of the way you actually perform your show, looking at the construction and presentation of the tricks you already own. This seminar can help you do just that. Peter Samelson is internationally acknowledged as one of  magic's most creative performers. Tony Shepherd created television specials for artists as varied as Barry Manilow, Britney Spears and Usher, he is now in charge of artist relations for Walt Disney. Mark Holstein has acted as production manager at Abbotts Get Together for 35 years and handled staging for some of magic's greatest acts. Ray Anderson not only stars but directs "Esther's Follies" an award winning magic/review show now in its 45th year. We were delighted to be joined by "surprise guest" Kevin James whose brilliantly original work has been showcased worldwide in "The Illusionists" show.
