USDEFFECT #1: Two decks of cards lay on the table. The spectator chooses one, let's say Deck #1. As the magician riffles up Deck #1, the spectator stops him at any point. The spectator is given the top six cards from where he stopped at and shuffles the packet. He deals the six cards in a row on the table and chooses a number with a dice. Let's say that the 5 shows up so he gives himself the fifth card. He turns the dice on the opposite side and sees a 2 so he gives himself the second card. Then, he picks one card from the pair and remembers the value. He picks the other card and remembers the suit. He combines the value and the suit to create an imaginary card. Finally, he removes his thought-of card from the other deck (Deck #2) and places it at the bottom. Now, the magician announces that before the trick began, he also thought of a card that he placed at the bottom of Deck #1. The spectator turns Deck #2 over, revealing his card for the first time. Let's say the 10C. The magician turns Deck #1 over, revealing another 10C!
EFFECT #2: A variation on the first effect with only one deck and a famous gag card. Once the spectator has created a card, the magician takes the deck back and, with the deck below the table, removes a card that he places face down on the table. The spectator is given the deck again and looks for his card. But he can't find it - imagine his face! - so he removes the matching card instead (same value, same color) and places it face down on the table. The magician turns his card over and asks the spectator to confirm he sees his card. He has to agree as the card is actually a 52-on-1 card (every card is printed on its face!). The magician explains that he wanted him to understand how he would feel had the gag card been his card because he plans to do even better! He reminds him that the prediction was removed after the selection process. But what if it has been actually removed before? At this moment, the magician takes out a card from his breast pocket. For the first time, the spectator reveals he thought of the 5S and turns the matching card face up. The magician turns his prediction face up: It is the 5S!
EFFECT #3: A variation on the second effect without the gag card that resets instantly. Once the spectator has created a card, he removes it from the deck and places it face down on the table. The magician takes out a card from his breast pocket and places it face down on the table. They are turned over at the same time: They are both the 2H!
The decks and the dice are ordinary. The 52-on-1 card is readily available at most magic retailers and examinable. No marking system. No duplicates. No sleights. Easy to do.
