Elsewhere Issue 01 - Half Remembered Rooms by Mindhaus

Issue 01 - Half-Remembered Rooms explores memory as method, featuring a modern iPhone-based thought capture using standard settings, practical justifications for written thoughts, and a reimagined presentation of Larry Becker’s Sneak Thief where memory becomes artefact. What’s inside: Grace Note - A Method to turn your iPhone into a peek device. No extra apps, and nothing to download or install. You open your real Notes app, and ask your spectator to write their thoughts. They lock the device and hand it back to you. By the time your phone is back in your pocket, you know exactly what they wrote. Please note: This method only works with iPhone. Reasons For Typing - A collection of unconventional justifications for having thoughts written or typed in a mentalism performance, many of which can inspire entire presentations and framing choices. Memory Artefacts - A reimagined presentation for Larry Becker’s classic “Sneak Thief” routine. Create the illusion of seeing, feeling and describing your participants’ most cherished memories. Please note: the Sneak Thief method is not taught. This section provides full presentation and scripting for those already familiar with the technique.
