The performer begins by stating that throughout history, certain famous people are known by only one name. He displays some number cards and invites a spectator to place their index finger on any number - a completely free choice. They then move numerous times (according to their freely selected number) moving from card to card and landing on a digit. Note: this is all done while the performer looks away. They peek at the other side of their chosen card and remember the famous person on it. Next, the performer asks them to think of a specific letter and associate it with a color that starts with that letter. With not one single question asked, the performer reveals the celebrity merely thought of.
