Dream Totem by Rick Lax (Download only)
1. You remove a tiny metal top from your pocket and give it a spin. Spins like a normal top.
2. Then, you PUT YOUR AUDIENCE into an DREAM STATE.
3. Now when you spin the top a second time, IT FLIPS UPSIDE-DOWN ALL BY ITSELF.

And here's maybe the coolest part: THE TRICK ONLY USES ONE TOP. And because it's metal, it's going to last for years.

Since this is Rick Lax, you'll also be getting multiple presentations and multiple bonus effects. You have the option of performing DREAM TOTEM with an ANIMATED OPTICAL ILLUSION INSTRUCTIONAL CARD, made out of high-quality plastic (the weight and feel of a high quality membership card) perfect to keep in your wallet at all times.

If you choose to perform DREAM TOTEM with the card, you'll also learn how to make the top vanish into the card and then SLOWLY RE-MATERIALIZE inside the plastic. You have to see it in real life to believe it. (The video doesn't do the effect justice, for reasons having to do with frame rates.) And at the end. BOOM, the top pops right out of the card.

There are many different ways to present Dream Totem:

* A physics-defying TELEKINESIS experiment

* A dream state INDUCTION

* A HYPNOSIS demonstration

There's a presentation to fit every performer. And when you purchase the Dream Totem from Penguin, you're going to get a one-on-one instructional video with Rick Lax, packed with performance tips and various handlings. These are high-quality props that will last you a lifetime.

Special thanks to Justin Flom for help with the trick's handling. And credit to Brewster and Silvanus P. Thompson for first discovering the motion optical illusion possibilities of the black & white wedge circle, as published in Popular Science Monthly in February of 1881: "Optical Illusions of Motion"
