The performer allows the deck to be shuffled, and gives it one last cut, after explaining the simple method of selecting a card without removing it from the pack or otherwise disturbing the order of the cards: the spectator simply cuts the pack anywhere, looks at the card cut to, then rights the upper section of the deck so the entire pack is once again face down.
This operation can be executed with the performer in another room, or with his back turned. The mental selection can now be located by either spreading the deck across the table or in the hands, or by cutting exactly to the card either openly or secretly. In fact, the performer has the ability to locate the selection by sight, touch or even if authentically blindfolded.
This procedure can be repeated and whenever the performer desires, the pack may be given to the spectator’s as a souvenir.
